The Center of Concern will hold its annual holiday party for clients, volunteers, and community supporters at 7 p.m. Dec. 8 at the South Park Recreation Center, 833 Talcott Ave., Park Ridge. Festivities will include refreshments, local entertainment, and the chance to honor Center of Concern volunteers. The public is welcome. Bring a nonperishable food item for the Maine Township Food Pantry. Call (847) 823-0453.
Mondays, Dec. 12, and 19 – Employment counseling, by appointment.
Monday, Dec. 12 – Alzheimer’s Caregivers support group, 10 a.m.
Tuesday, Dec. 20 – Medicare counseling, by appointment (sponsored by the federally funded Senior Health Insurance Program).
Wednesdays, Dec. 14 and 28 – Grief and loss support group (call first).
