Remember the classic Arby’s cowboy hat sign that hung out on University Street in Peoria for the past 40 years?
It’s now available on eBay. “Here’s a once-in-a-lifetime chance to own a piece of history,” say the folks that salvaged the sign. “You are bidding on the panels of the sign one side. No lights. I have collected vintage signs for years and this one is amazing,” state the owners.
That sign is also 35 feet tall and 20 feet wide — just right for the modest apartment or the man cave as the owners suggest.
A word of warning for those with dreams of restoring the big hat to its original light and luster. Years ago, a friend of mine came across a lighted Grain Belt beer sign that was probably intended for bar (whenever it was that they sold Grain belt beer). He would light it at night and hang it on the porch…until someone came to the house in the middle of the night, pounding on the door to come in. He took down the sign the next day.

I say exotic because to an immigrant Mexican girl horseradish IS exotic. This recipe is guaranteed to satisfy any man in your life.
