Bouncing baby excersaucers/jumperoos?

I asked a friend if they wanted my fisher price jumperoo for their baby as mine grew out of it. They said no they had done some research and discovered jumperoos/ and any type of jolly jumper bounce thingy was bad for babies development.

I actually thought it was good for them it stimulates them they see colors, they grasp things, they learn if they push this button this will happen etc. I have heard walkers can be bad but that's just because some people don't pay close enough attention
