The classics and the unexpected meet at Rosewood Grill in Hudson

Years ago, the Inn at Turner’s Mill in Hudson was one of the places to get away and enjoy a quiet and romantic evening.
That came to an end after 18 years, in 2007, when the owners decided to close and move on to something else.
Then in 2009, Hospitality Restaurants took over and spent lots of time and money turning the historical landmark building into the company’s sixth and newest restaurant, Rosewood Grill , located on the ground floor.
Outside, you pass a fire pit that operates year-around. In warm weather, rocking chairs provide a great gathering place for cocktails.
Inside, the bar is open, with high-top tables. It overlooks the open kitchen where you can watch Executive Chef Scott Bambic and his crew chop and saut away until the last customer leaves. A big aspect of the renovation involved the kitchen and bar area.
The main dining area is comfortable, subtle, and yet alive with interest. At one end of the room, the landmark stone walls remain. On wall, glass cylinders hold a zillion corks and a series of small mirrors. Another wall reflects parts of the dining room. Lighting is subdued but ample. Servers are polished and know the menu.
